Empowerment Circle

It was a beautiful cool evening for the very first Empowerment Circle.

Tonight marked the new moon and the re-opening of the SHE CAVE, where we held our first Empowerment Circle.

I had no expectations for the evening, but as is often the case when a group of women gathers, the night unfolded beautifully on its own.

We shared our experiences—the challenges and triumphs of raising neuro-diverse children—which led me to ponder: is there really such a thing as "neuro-typical" these days?

Our discussions shifted to empowerment—defining it, understanding its significance, and exploring ways to cultivate it in our lives. One powerful way we can do this is by uplifting one another through encouragement, support, validation, and being a listening ear.

The work we engage in can either uplift us or weigh us down. It’s essential to seek out fulfilling and rewarding careers, and perhaps a supportive circle of women can guide us toward that goal.

Ultimately, the life we lead is a product of our own creation. We can only build a life we love when we feel empowered to do so. So, how do we foster that empowerment?

Starting together is a wonderful first step.
